Long Range Planning Committee

2011 Annual Meeting, Sunday, 2pm at Legion Hall on Hollis St.
Join Groton Historical Society members and friends to learn about the Society's future plans and an complete update on the renovation of the Boutwell House and other activities from President John Ott. Michael Roberts, Chair of the Long Range Planning Committee will provide an executive summary of the report with the goals set for the up-coming year and what lies ahead. There will be an election of new board members and officers and refreshments will be served. All are invited and welcome to attend this important program. Friends are also encouraged to read the Draft of the Long Range Plan 2011-2022. Questions will be welcome from all attendees.

Committee and Goals:
Goal of the Committee is to present a Society 10 year strategic plan by the Annual Meeting in October.

Community Preservation Committee Grant request for the renovation of the
Gov. George S. Boutwell House:

On Monday, May 2, 2011 Groton Historical Society’s $176,525 Community Preservation Committee Grant request for the renovation of the Gov. George S. Boutwell House was approved unanimously by voters at its town meeting. Physical work on the house is expected to begin this fall and take about a year.
