In February, the GHS proudly announced the publication of it's newest book: Groton. Published by Arcadia, this Images of America series book, features over 200 old photographs, many of which had never before been published.

Thanks to a long-standing pattern of residents concerned with preserving and promoting the history of the town, Groton retains many period houses, countless primary source documents, and other annals of the past. Groton includes over 200 photographs illustrating life in Groton from the mid 19th century to the early 20th century. Most of the images are taken from photographs, glass slidesm and postcards from the GHS Collection.

Groton Houses includes photographs and information about many of the old houses in Groton, including some that are no longer standing. May takes her own memories, combined with older written histories and letters to piece together the histories of many of the old homesteads in town.
